Cards To Julia From The Wallabies

My daughter, Julia, had her tonsils taken out two weeks ago. I went to visit my students at school the next day and they had all made cards for Julia that were so sweet. When I got home I brought a tray up to Julia with broth and the cards made by my students on it. She looked at the cards and instantly felt a little better while reading them and looking at the pictures. First graders are so sweet! These two cards are from Kate and Taylor.

I wish I had a teacher like you when I was in first grade. :^D
Cool blog! What a nice and easy way to stay connected. I love the adorable drawings from the kids. And, yes, pizza is a great meal if it's made right. We make homemade pizza every week and love it.
Looking forward to peeking in on your kids again though summer is on the horizon and they will be off to other things...

Eve,
Thanks for your kind words. I really enjoy sharing and learning with the children. We really get to know each other well during the school year and that helps us with everything we do academically, emotionally, and socially. Kudos to you and Steve for being such great parents!

Toby,
Thanks--you made my day with your comments! Please continue to visit because even though we are about three weeks away from our summer break--I would like to keep this up during the summer. Wouldn't this be a great way to have the kids in my class this year continue reading and writing during the summer? I hope they'll do that--I'm going to encourage the parents to get them started. I think once they've started they'll continue on their own. Have a great trip!
Love,
Jo-Ann
