We are a first grade class in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. This is a way for us to share photos, drawings, writings, events, activities, news, etc. from the children and teacher in our classroom to other classrooms, parents, teachers, educators, and friends.

These Wallabies were so excited to be in Mrs. Cooper's office receiving awards for their excellent work. Mrs. Cooper is the Assistant Principal at our school. These Wallabies received their Good Work Awards for their beautiful illustrations of a September poem. Their lovely work is on display on the Good Work Bulletin Board.

This Wallaby and Dr. Richardson look very happy and proud in this photo because he received a Good Work Award from Dr. Richardson and his work is hanging on The Good Work Bulletin Board. We were studying about thermometers and temperatures. Our class discussed what we would wear on days that had temperatures of 90, 70, 30, and 50 degrees. Then each student drew pictures of themsleves and what they would be wearing at those various temperatures. These are illustrations of himself next to the thermometers that represent the varying temperatures. Great work!
This Wallaby is very proud of his kidney bean plant. He planted the seeds on 5-8-06 and kept a log of their growth. This photo shows him observing and drawing his plants. He has done a great job recording the growth and changes to his plants. He is truly a scientist!
