A Very Happy Birthday From The Wallabies

Here we are--The Wallabies of the 2006 - 2007 school year. My sweet first graders surprised me with hand-made birthday cards. Each one is so beautiful! I could tell that much time and care was taken to make these beautiful cards. It was a fun day for all of us. Thank you to all my Wallaby friends.

A Wallaby Receives a Good Work Award from Dr. Richardson

This Wallaby and Dr. Richardson look very happy and proud in this photo because he received a Good Work Award from Dr. Richardson and his work is hanging on The Good Work Bulletin Board. We were studying about thermometers and temperatures. Our class discussed what we would wear on days that had temperatures of 90, 70, 30, and 50 degrees. Then each student drew pictures of themsleves and what they would be wearing at those various temperatures. These are illustrations of himself next to the thermometers that represent the varying temperatures. Great work!

Our Plants Are Growing

This Wallaby is very proud of his kidney bean plant. He planted the seeds on 5-8-06 and kept a log of their growth. This photo shows him observing and drawing his plants. He has done a great job recording the growth and changes to his plants. He is truly a scientist!

Here he is with his plant and plant log.
